RECYCLE RECYCLE RECYCLE!!!:D

So, we had a Recycle project. Meaning we had to take a garment and turn it into a completely new garment!!:D Mine was a jacket that got turned into a shirt c: i did not make my own pattern for this, but instead the jacket had basically all you need.
 Would you like to see how to make such a nifty lil thing? oops sorry looks like your time is up!!.....im going to show you anywayss....(:

                                INSTRUCTIONS:
1- take out the pockets, zipper, and hood.
2- measure how long you would like the shirt to be on you. *ADD an extra 2 inches!!*and then mark.
3- now, cut the sleeves out and place them to the side ( for you can make arm warmers with them):D
4- measure the remaining piece on how tight you want the shirt around your bodice.
5- sew down the back with wrong sides together.(the pieces that previously connected the zipper.
6- at the top of the shirt press under the 2 inches.
7- sew at the fold. and the bottom of the fabric that was folded.
     Straps:
1- you can find different colored fabric that matches or you can simply use the sleeves for this. But if your wanting arm warmers at the end, i suggest other lay around fabric.
2- if your sewing, im sure you know how to make straps... but if not, then cut out 2 inch thick retangle that is as long as you want the straps to be.
3- fold in half and sew wrong sides together all the way around except one of the end sides.
4- from the sewn edge, take a pencil and move it through, to turn the fabric right sides out.
5- now from the inside, sew the two straps in the front.
6- cross them and sew them on opposite sides on the back part, in the inside.
TA-DA!
    ArmWarmers:
1- take the sleeve and measure from the cuffs to where you would like the arm warmer to go, mark, and cut. *ADD an inch!*
2- after you cut the fabric, you shall sew wrong sides togther.
3- the inch that you have made, you need to fold under and sew the tom of the fold and then close it off with another stitch.
4- mark where you would like the thumb hold to be. and how big to make it from your thumb.
5- perform a button hole.
 **You can add patches, or cut slits down it like i have, to give it more character! and now you have a tank top kinda thingy and an armwarmer that matches!!** WOOH!.


i shall turn in my project with the sketches and for the skills? there really was any skills that needed to be brought upon this.... urm, ca;lsdgfjdgasdlkh. <---yeah.
the easiest part of this project was the sew part. lol... actually, the arm warmer was fairly easy(:
the worst part was measuring.... :o blahhh. and this project reminds me of my trench coat and a pair of jeans i have, are made out of TRASH BAGS :o.... i will have to wear them to class sometime ;D but there was a hole in my caot and then i put zebra ducktape over it and i sewed it, and its even more.... recyclablee o.o<3  i think it needs more ducktape patches o.o.....:DDD

OH BOI.

So somehow my grade is an F in this class... kinda makes me not want to do anything anymore now. D: butttttt anywayssss
What has Kahlie accomplished so far?
 her response: "I have accomplished basically getting my jacket turned into a shirt. I also made an armwarmer out of one of the sleeves. I have written all my steps out on how and what I cut and sewed together."   
 Im still in the process of making this urm shirt. its alot like the one I did last year for fun. You know the SevenDust and bandana one?...yeahh.  but this one is just made out of a jackettt ;D and minus the zipper.... NO zipper needed on this one;D woooh.<3
and I think im going to like tiedye it to give it more character. its plad and tiedye together. how many times have you seen that?..... thats right, your answer should be none.... o.o

Can I go home?

First of all I dont feel the slightest bit good. I feel awful. and Sick. buuuuuuuuuuuut...
  During this week I have accomplished:
    ~Got most of my portfolio done..... :D
annnnnnd Made Kodi some weird looking erm, cheerleading skirt. o.o for a teddy bear or something.
 My goals for next week are to get done with the portfolio anddd start on my next project dun dun DUMM!.
What did Kahlie learn this week...?
 She learned that..... some new stitchessss!!:D and that she really hates doing hand stitchingg >.>
For the futureeee: Some of the heming stitches seem soo much more simpler , kinda. sooo possibly make some rearangements dor the recycling project up next.

 today has started off good. but getting to fashion desgin and finding out the jacket i made is gone. lol it doesnt really bother me, knowing one of the special ed kidds have it >.> i thought it was actually quite funny.

Accomplishments this week. hmm well i have gotten my powerpoint to where i think i m ight be almost done...with the facts. still have the desgining to do. CREATIVITY:DDD

Mmkay, during this week I have gotten basically done :D just neeeeeed theeee butttons!  which i like i have one more button to sew and TADA!<3  Then my goal for Tuesday will be to have my next projects pattern:D woooh..
 WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED?!
 I have learned that Mrs. Dameron gets very dissapointed when you take your fabric home with you. and that when Kodi is absent, its sooo erm... boring xDD and and and that trying to help another student with last years progect is kinda hard D:
Skill:  The skill that I could apply in the future is that, make sure you mesasure twice, go slow, have a great attitude about everything. if you mess up you can meet Mr. Seam Ripper:D

The curent event for this week is....Punk.   In the pictures that I have found are actually...pretty neat.  BUT, the people wearing these clothes..... like need to do something with their hair to Umph it up, you know?  Now this link I will post below will show you what I was looking at...   The one at the very bottom with the yellow pants is my favorite(: take a look. Falling Behind!D:

So apparently Kodi and I are falling behind on our project. I feel so slow! During this week I kinda didnt get any thing done. Tuesday I wasn't here and Thursday I had the world's biggest headache and I just couldnt get myself to do anything, so I really don't have any accomplishments I have made this week. But for the future I have the goal to at least catch up to  "third block" . They are already done!D: dannnng. My learning for this week would have to be.... come to class! and to not get headaches. Maybe Mr.Dameron would be really really nice and let me bring my fabric home soo I can catch up. My moms friend just got me a brand new sewing machine:D Remember how i said slow your roll?....well I kinda need to catch up..lol.
